Why does shipping cost what it does?
We use a simple flat-rate shipping price of £6.99 to keep checkout clear, fair, and predictable.
All orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked, which means your parcel is:
- Fully tracked
- Delivered securely
- Carefully packed to protect vintage items
The shipping charge helps cover:
- Royal Mail postage
- Protective packaging materials
- The time and care taken to pack one-off, fragile items safely
Why is shipping the same price for one item or several?
We charge one shipping fee per order, not per item.
This means:
- You’re not penalised for buying more than one item
- We can pack items together safely where possible
- Checkout stays simple with no confusing calculations
In rare cases, an order may need to be sent in more than one parcel — if that happens, there’s no extra charge.
Why not cheaper shipping?
Vintage items aren’t mass-produced and often need:
- Extra padding
- Individual wrapping
- Careful box selection
- Using tracked delivery and proper packaging helps ensure your order arrives safely and avoids damage, delays, or losses.
Why is shipping free over £75?
On larger orders, the product value helps absorb shipping costs.
Offering free shipping over £75 is our way of:
- Thanking you for bundling items
- Keeping pricing fair across the shop
- Encouraging fewer, more efficient shipments
Do you make money on shipping?
No — shipping is priced to cover costs fairly, not to profit.
Sometimes we pay more, sometimes a little less — over time it balances out while allowing us to keep prices transparent and service reliable.
