The chair has been professionally reupholstered at some point in its life in a high-quality country-check wool-style fabric, complete with a matching scatter cushion. The upholstery remains in immaculate condition with no rips, stains or significant wear.
The mahogany frame is solid and sturdy, with a rich colour and lovely patina developed over many years. Equally at home beside a fireplace, in a reading nook, hallway or bedroom, this elegant Victorian armchair combines period character with everyday comfort.
